CHAMPION AWARDS, (Per United PrJks Association.) MASTERTON, February 15. The Master ton Show opened to-day under ideal weather conditions and with a large attendance. The following championships were awarded : '• Lincoln ram: H. Gaisford (Hawke's Bay); ewe; Bland Rayner. English Leicester ram and ewe: S. R. Lancaster, Palmerston. 1-iorder Leicester ram and ewe : J. A. Wileii. Romney Marsh ram and ewe : W. Perry. Southdown ram ; J, Knight (Pending); ewe: Redmond and Venue (Hastings). Shorthorn bull and cow : Douglas McLean (Hastings). Hereford bull and cow ; Ernest Short (Feilding). Polled Angus bull and cow : Frank Armstrong. Jersey bull and cow : S. R. Lancaster (Palmerston). llolsteins ; Bull, R. Melvin: cow, L. and S. Sievrs. Fat bullock : T. Saunders (Manawatu). Draught stallion ; Donald's estate. Sheepdog trial : P. S. Hay's William Wallace.
