GARSTON NOTES
(From Our Own Correspondent.) .Shearing of farm sheep is finished here. The neighbouring runs have got through their general shearing, and have the straggler muster well in hand. The warm weather wo have had for a considerable time is bringing the grain crops in fact. Cutting of the earlier sown crops is being carried out, and harvest should he general in a week’s time. ’ All cereal crops promise well. There are some particularly good crops of barley, and the oat crops are a decided ment on last year’s.
Turnips are a very successful crop this year, the warm humid weather giving them every chance.
