INTERPRETING A STATUTE
HOSPITAL COMMITTEE AM) (J.A. BOA ill). (Per United Press Association.) TIMAIIU, February 11. Mr Justice Denniston this morning heard counsel on a dispute between the South Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board and the Waimate Hospital Committee, regarding the powers of control possessed hy the latter body. The statute makes some special provisions regarding Waimate Hospital, and (lie parties do not agree regarding the meaning of these provisions, the Board claiming absolute control, which the Committee refuse to concede. His Honour reserved .indgment.
