The Premier, after attending the inaugural meeting of the Universal Service League, said that Australia should do noliiing at this juncture with regard to conscription that might embarrass the Imperial Government. They could safely rely on the British Cabinet to do what was necessary to bring the. war to a successful conclusion, it was not for Australia to say whether conscription was necessary, hut if so Australia should not hesitate to adopt it.
