A Melbourne cable states that J. McLusky, a former New Zealand jockey, has enlisted. A Sydney telegram states that Corporal Hill, a prominent Rugby Union footballer, and brother to the secretary of the Rugby Union, has been killed in Gallipoli. Mr R. C. Tcnnent, of Invercargill, yesterday received a cable from Capetown to the effect that his two sons. Sergeants Harold and Hugh Tennent, of the Natal Light Horse, were leaving South Africa for New Zealand by the Rimutalca with the intention of enlisting in the Reinforcements from here. The Sergeants Tennent were attached to the Union Forces under General Botha, and for the past ten months have taken part in the campaign for the conquest of German South West Africa. That mission having been successful the Natal Light Horse have been disbanded, but Mr Tennent's sons are anxious to serve with the New Zealanders ou other fields, bonce their decision to come homo to enlist. They are expected to arrive home on September 7, and are prepared to go to the front in any capacity. Another son of Mr Tennent, Sergeant Kenneth Tennant, of the Mounted Regiment of the 6th Reinforcements, is due in Invercargill to-day on short leave before going to the front.
