FIRES
BLAZE IN WELLINGTON. (Per United Press Association). WELLINGTON. May 1. At five o’clock this morning a fire broke out in an unoccupied house consisting of fourteen rooms, at Kilbirnie, belonging to Mr James Clark, but it was suppressed after considerable damage had been done to the inside The outbreak occurred under the stairs in the centre of the house. The building, which had been used as a private hospital up to five months ago, is insured in the Sun Office for one thousand pounds.
