A meeting of the newly-formed Orawia branch was held on March 21 for the purpose of electing a secretary. Mr C. Lay being appointed to the position. There was a fair attendance and some interesting discussions took place on various subjects. it was resolved to invite the provincial secretary to visit the branch at an early date, and this will probably be Wednesday, April 15. A NEW BRANCH. A most enthusiastic meeting was held at Te Wae Wae recently, when it was reported that practically every farmer in the district had signified his intention of joining the Farmers' Union. it was unanimously resolved to form a branch to be known as the Tc Wae Wae branch, and the following office-bearers were then elected—Chairman. Mr H. Knowler: secretary and treasurer, Mr D. C. Brown: committee, Messrs G, Robertson, C. Ward, W. Brownrdge, B. Richards, B. Horrell, J. O'Brien and Stuck.
