Ltd., the world-famed musical comedy “The Arcadians.” which charmed and captivated Sydney audiences for seven consecutive months and Melbourne for five, and proved such a phenomenal success in the four larger centres of New Zealand when produced there some little time ago. Invercargill playgoers have been wishful for a long time for an opportunity of seeing this remarkable play. That “‘The Arcadians” will to-night add still another to its long list of triumphs in money receipts is evidenced by the heavy advance hookings already recorded at the Dresden. Mr D. B. O'Connor plays that beautifully conceived and laughter-compelling part of Peter Doody (the jockey). Miss Ida Leggatt is Sombra. She is said to be gifted with a voice of rare quality and range for a comic opera artiste, as well as being a clever performer. Another performer that promises to mako good in Invercargill is Miss Vickie Miller. who plays the role of Eileen Cavanagh. “the girl with a brogue." Mr John Ralston plays Jack .Meadows, and they will be supported by a strong list of minor characters, chorus and ballet. The I>. B.
