FLORAL DECORATIONS
(Per United Press Association). WELLINGTON, August 19. At the Magistrate's Court to-day before Dr. McArthur. S.M.. Miss Rosalind Prebble. florist, sued Mrs Janet XVllliams for the sum of £64 for lloral decorations carried out by the plaintiff in connection with the citizens' ball given in honour of the visit of H.M.S. New Zealand to XVellington. Plaintiff said that she was instructed by Mrs XVilliams to carry out the work, and no objection was made to the price she piloted, £64. A .suggestion was made later that the price should be reduced to £55 if the ball were not a success, but she did not agree. After hearing the evidence bis Worship made an order that.the sum of £55, which had been paid into the Court by defendant, should be handed over to the plaintiff, and adjourned the further hearing sine die. XX r hen the case is called again the evidence of defendant, who is at present in Christchurch, will be heard.
