A NEIGHBOURS’ QUARREL
£2OO FOR ASSAULT. (Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN. August 19. In the Supreme Court to-day the casft in which William John Townley claimed £5Ol damages from James Joseph Nyhon for alleged assault was concluded. The parties had resided on the Peninsula, and had been friends for some yearg. It was alleged that the defendant severelyassaulted the plaintiff on a lonely part of the road. The defence was that plaintiff assaulted the defendant, who did not use unnecessary violence in defending himself. The jury found for plaintiff, awarding him £2OO.
