Court to-day, when the Inangahua Miners’ Union sued three members for non-payment of levies in connection with the labour trouble. The facts were admitted, but the defendants held that the levy was illegal, not having been made In accordance with the rules of the Union, in that notices were not posted at all places where the members worked, though members at the chief centres were notified. Judgment was reserved. MOSQUITO FLEET ENGINEERS. WELLINGTON. March 27. A conference will be re-opened on Tuesday between the engineers of the mosqulta fleet and the representatives of the Shipowners' Federation. The conference began before Christmas, but was adjourned. The main point for settlement relates to payment for overtime.
