CHRISTCHURCH, January 14. There is little inquiry for wheat and a small amount of business is being done between merchants and millers, but no grain is offering from growers. No threshing of new oats has yet been done, but it is expected that a start will be made this week. Early-cut oats, except .Algerians, are expected to be very light, as the hot weather just prior to cutting ripened the crops off too fast. Samples of new grass seed that have been offered are very light and have evidently been prematurely ripened through the heat. STOCK EXCHANGE SALES. DUNEDIN. January 14.
