DAIRY INSPECTION. (From “The Despatch, July 2, 1564.)’ Some alarm having been created as to the wholesome quality of the milk supplied' in town, in consequence of the reported prevalence of pleuropneumonia -amongst cattle, we are glad to learn that Mr Grieve has during the week inspected all the cattle from the Town Belt to the Onetree Point, “especially the dairy cows belonging to the settlers where the milk sent to town chiefly comes from,” and “declares the said cattle free from disease” at the date of bis report, Ist July, with the exception of a few showing the first symptoms near to the Puni Bush where the dead animal was found that was dissected by himself and Dr Murray.
