Public Notices. JgOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL. IN THE MATTER of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908” and the Amendments thereof ; And, IN THE MATTER of a Proposal to Raise a Special Loan of £32,000 ‘ for the Benefit of those Portions of the Borough to which the Present Waterworks do not Extend. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Invercargill Proposes to Borrow by way of Special Loan In exercise of the powers vested In it by the above-men-tioned Acts the sum of £32,000 for the purposes of Public Works within those portions of the Borough to which the Present Waterworks of the Borough do not extend, namely, to the North of Gala street (excepting Northend). east of Doon and Ness streets, and South of Blggar street as follows; — Extending the ■ Waterworks Reticulation of the Borough to the aforesaid portions thereof by acquiring all necessary pipes and other material and constructing and laying water pipes in all the streets of the aforesaid portions of the Borough, the amounts estimated for the various localities (which localities are contiguous and form one ! continuous area), being as follows: Gladstone .. £4,859 Avenal 3,430 North Invercargill 9,250 East Invercargill 2,860 Lindisfarne 2,760 Previously part of South In'glll 8,841 Total £32,000 AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that It Is proposed that all preliminary expenses Incurred in connection with the purposes for which the said Loan is to be raised, and the Interest on the Loan for the first year shall be paid out of the Loan. AND Notice is Hereby Further Given that if the said Loan or any part thereof be obtained from the New Zealand State • Guaranteed Advances Office the amount so borrowed and the interest thereon shall be secured by a Special Rate upon all the rateable property within the aforesaid portiorje of the Borough of Invercargill sufficient to meet the periodical payments of principal and interest in respect of the Loan in accordance with "The New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Act, 1909,” and the regulations thereunder, as such payments become due, and ten per centum more than such payments; AND shall also be secured upon all the annual income and revenues of the Borough; AND such loan shall be raised, by • the issue of debentures in accordance with ; the last-named Act and the regulations ! thereunder, bearing interest not exceeding the rate of £4 10s per centum per annum, the principal and interest being payable by half-yearly instalments Axtending over a term of thirty-six and a half yeard, and to be paid at the Office of the New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent at Wellington In New Zealand. And Notice is Hereby Further Given that if the said Loan or any part thereof be obtained otherwise than from tho New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Office the amount so borrowed and the interest shall be secured upon all tho annual Income and revenues of the Borough and also upon a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on ths amount so borrowed, which shall be set apart from the said annual revenues, rents, and income, or from the annual income and revenues of the Waterworks of , the Borough for repayment of the amount borrowed: AND such loan shall be raised by the issue of debentures repayable on the first day of April, 1942, and bearing interest not exceeding the rate of £4 10s per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the first day of April, and first day of October in each year at the Bank of New Zealand In London, or Invercargill, or such other places as may be agreed upon.
