MAWSON'S EXPEDITION. [By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.] SYDNEY'. Nov. 11. Dr Mawson is still £9OOO short of the sum required for his expedition, the total promised, Including -stores, amounting to ajittle over £40,000. Dr Mawson, speaking at the Royal Society’s reception, said he had no great anxiety over the deficit, because he thought certain Staler; which had not yet contributed would do so when they saw what good work was being done. TEE JAPANESE PARTY. SYDNEY, NoV. 11. The Japanese Vice-Consul, replying to the toast of “Success to the Japanese Expedition,” referred to the brotherhood of science which made no discrimination of race or colour. All had one common aim—the advancement of humanity.
