TONKING'S COMPETITIONS

The winners in the recent Flower and Acrostic Competitions conducted by the proprietors of Tonking’s Linseed Emulsion are announced. These contests have aroused great enthusiasm and have attracted a record number of entries. The Triples Competition advertised in this paper will remain open until further notice. Voting for the £IOO public prize contest in the Flower, Acrostic and Triples Competitions is creating considerable interest. Cleveland, Remuera. Ten prizes of 5s each to Sydney Mullenger, Remuera ; Jessie M. Gray, Rocky Nook ; Mrs M. L. Jackman. Auckland ; Mrs A. O’Brien, Waiheke Island ; James Fleming. Halcombe ; Mrs A. Shlpherd, Epsom ; Miss J. Black, Dunedin ; Margaret Forbes, Portobello ; Master Charles Eyles, Blenheim ; E. W. Field, Aokautere. Tonking’s Acrostic Competition.—The sentence, which was selected by a prominent journalist chosen as judge for this competition, was as follows :—Tonking’s Only Needs Knowing ; It’s Name Guarantees Satisfaction.” Three competitors were successful in sending in this sentence, and the Ist prize of £lO will be divided between W.
