BRITAIN AND JAPAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.—Copyright.) TOKIO, July 11. Owing to the projected Anglo-Ameri-can arbitration treaty Japan has agreed to Britain’s proposal for the making of the clause in the Anglo-Japanese Alliance treaty concerning mutual assistance in war inapplicable when either of the allies is fighting a nation with which the other has an arbitration treaty.
