WELLINGTON, March 15, Weather summary and forecast : Cloudy, hazy and warm weather has prevailed, and light showers in parts; but considerable rain is reported in the far South. Northerly winds have prevailed, but are veering by west to south in southern districts. The barometer has fallen and risen in southernmost districts. but little movement is • reported generally. Present indications are for unsettled and cloudy weather and rain In most parts of the country. The barometer will probably fall in northern districts, but rise slowly in the South, Strong northerly winds are probable In the North and westerly and southerly winds in the South. TWO ISLAND VESSELS WRECKED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright). SYDNEY, March 15. During the recent severe gales in the Solomon Islands the Government steamer Pelama was driven ashore and totally wrecked. The crew escaped. The schooner Leveuswa was also wrecked on the Island of Santiana. The crew got safely ashore. The storms did considerable damage in the grpup.
