The three men boarded the steamer Manila instead of the Waipara. They were directed to the proper wharf and made towards the water. Hill walked straight in and Marlin went to his assistance. Sadler subsequently went after the others. All were struggling together in deep water. A man named JJunn, from another steamer, plunged in but the men pulled him under almost drowning him. Ho had lo struggle free and then the others sank. When recovered their bodies were locked together. SYDNEY, Jan. 24. A train of coal trucks got out of control at Adamstown, near Newcastle, and crashed into a dead end. The locomotive left the rails, and toppled over a fence alongside the line. Two trucks were telescoped and smashed lo matchwood. The driver and fireman jumped immediately before the crash, and both were uninjured. ADELAIDE. Jan. 24.
