She landed 2011 tons and shipped (1 bales paper, 3.0 cases tinplates, 2 sacks hides, 15 casks oil. 1.3 pieces timber, 10 cases biscuits, all halt sacks gravel, and a quantity of sundries, and sailed for Melbourne at -l-Ja p'.m. She had two passengers for Milford Sound. The Union S.S. Co.'s steamer Wan imoo left Melbourne at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Hobart at 0.30 p.m. on I 1 1day. She had westerly winds and fine weather to arrival at Bluff at 5.30 a.m. yesterday. She had 77 saloon and 73 steerage passengers for all ports, of whom 57 landed at Bluff. Her_ inward cargo comprised 17 tons and included 6 tubes acid, 9 cases tobacco, !) packages ginger, 73 packages tea. Go cases whisky. 59 bags onions. 10 cases pines. 70 cases fruit, 252 pieces timber and a quantity of pig iron. After shipping 100 tons outward cargo the Warrimoo sailed for Dunedin at 3 p.rn. The barque Perfect is ready tor sea but has been unable to get away owing to the high winds. Following is Mr Bates' summary and forecast —Moderate to strong southerly winds have prevailed, except in Foveaux Strait, where gales have been experienced but arc now moderating Lhe weather has been generally fair, except in tiie southernmost parts, where hea\\ showers have been reported since Saturday. Present indirations are tor moderate to strong easterly winds northward of Napier and New Plymouth, and variable winds elsewhere, though principally from the South.
