CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKET. (Per United Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, November IS. Tiie demand for wheat for shipping has now been satisfied, and the onlj buyers in market are local millets and merchants. Though there is not a keen enquire, millers are prepared to take any suitable lots offering. bince the rain growers are inclined to offer a-little more freely, though there is no great quantity on tho market. For damaged wheat 'there is no demand except tor fowl feed. . „ . Oats are very firm, in consequence* or a good demand from the North Island. There are, however, practically none offering locally and any lots thatdtave been for sale in the country have found buyers among farmers who were short of'feed. Chaff is also very firm and no great quantity offering. Ryegrass is still in good demand, and all hopes of securing anything like a crop in Canterbury has been given up. The dry season is likely to affect the cocksfoot crop on the lower country on the Peninsula, but on the hill-tops, which get the benefit of mists, the crop promises to be very fair.
