AFTER THE STRIKE
TOPOBTAHT ASPECTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright. MELBOURNE, Mar. 17. Though the strike Is over, it is unlikely that full supplies of coal will be available for some weeks. During the strike the Inter-State companies had over fifty steamers laid up, and thirty of these are still idle. Docking and getting them into running order will mean a further large outlay. The total losses by Inter-State companies and the Union Company over the strike are estimated at £200,000.
