Received 17, 10.30 p.m. At the trial of Kanare for the murder of Mr Jackson, collector of Nasik, the police produced a document found on Kanare saying that he had killed Jackson for acquitting a, European charged with murder and for oppressing the poor, and adding that unless the work of the administration were made impossible evils would continne unchecked.
