SIR H. TOZER HONOURED
By -Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. LONDON, Jan. 13. Lord Lamington, on behalf of one hundred subscribers. Including the Agents-Goneral and British Commercial men, presented Sir H. Tozer, late AgentGeneral for Queensland, with a silver salver and £3170. He eulogised Sir Horace’s courage, fidelity, and ripe judgment. Lord Strathcona, in supporting the remarks made* acknowledged Sir H. Tozer’s great success on the Pacific Cable Board. Sir H. Tozer, in replying, regretted that his retirement was due to illhealth, and said lie was hopeful to be able to serve the Empire in the future.
