It is Air Ilalditno’s intention to further reduce the staff at Woolwich arsenal by 8000 men. making SObO the minimum peace filrength, whereas formerly it was 15,000. The proposal has caused indignation. The Woolwich engineers demanded a strike, which their leaders overruled. The workmen are now appealing lo Labour members in Parliament.
