Jan. 23. Received 25th, 10 p.m. The Valencia is a total B-ss and out of a crew of 60 and £4 I nssengors, at present •only 15 are known to have been saved. The vessel struck Capo Beale, ■. whore the locks rise precipitously to a height cf 400 tept. Tho lifeboats were swamped. , A woman dropped her two children into the sea while trying to hand them to her husbapd, who >vas iu a boat. She then jumped overboard in despair and was drowned and her husband was drowned while trying to save her.
