WELLINGTON, May 4.
A return for the quarter ended 31st March shows that tho goods landed in the colony during that period were valued at £3,507,329, a decrease of £56,642 as compared with the same quarter of 1904. The imports from the United Kingdom decreased by £307,436 ; from Australia, £108,337 ; from Germany, £18.911 ; from Belgium, £26,790 • from the United States, £B5BB. Increases are shown in the imports from Franco, Ceylon, India, Tonga,. Society Islands. Fiji, British Columbia, The imports to tho principal ports were : Wellington, £l,088,911 ; Auckland, £711,709 ; Dur.cdin, £606,911. ; Lyttelton, £605,293. A return of tho value of the exports during the quarter shows that tho vol-* nine of shipments for period were valued at £-6,486,350, compared with £’s,703,269 in March-qjuarter. Ths exports to Britain increased by £658,559, to N.S.W. £37,660, to France £27,887, and tc the United States £56,122. The value of the exports from ports exporting over a quarter of a million is as follows Wellington', £1,588,776 ; Lyttelton, £916,787 ; Auckland, £742,728 ; Dunedin £558,916 ; Napier, £572,637 ; Timaru, £383,055 ; Poverty Bay, £329,460 ; Bluff £319,063.
