As a sequel to tho riotous behaviour here on Saturday night six young men— James Graham, Ernest Jenkins, Woodward, O’Brien, Payne and W. Johns—were charged to-day witli wilfully obstructing the police in tho execution of their duty. The evidence fir Ilia defence of Graham showed that he hud assisted to keep the crowd back, but evidence-for the prosecution showpd he wt'fvlly obstructed the police. The Bench in posed a fine o-f £l9, with costs. Counsel, after hearing the expression of opinion of the Bench,, advised four of the accused to plead guilty, and each was fined £5. The case against .li-lins is living defended.
