NAPIER, May 4. William McKay, for theft and false pretences, was sentenced to twelve months’ hard labour, and Arthur Thorpe, for forgery and uttering, to twelve months.
DUNEDIN, May 4. Judge Williams admitted to probation for twelve months William Henry Carter, who had pleaded ■ruilty in the lower court to two charges of forgery.
