The mutch Civil Service v. Star was plnyeil on the Star ground on Saturday, under adverse weather conditions. Winning the toss, the Star elected to Ifat and totted up 91— Wilson 30, T. Quinn 13, Scaudrctt 12. The C.S.. batting a man short, made a sorry stand against the bowling of Twemlow and Warrington, their total for the 9 wickets being 13 runs. Neither team was fully represented, but it is hard to account for the collapse. of the beaten team, even allowing for the sodden condition of the wicket.
