Tho third wool salo of the season was held to -duy, 4000 bales being offored, there was the largest attondanco of buyers that has been! seen nt any sole here, sevoral Continental and Home buyers attending for tha first time. The wools wero except ionallj; freo from grease but seeds and cotts were very prevalent and materially affected the value of much that was offered: Lambs' wool wus in good demand and realised as. high as 7Jd. Generally there was a rise of _d to _d on tho December aalo prices, the range being as follows :— Merino, BJd ; halfbred, 6_d to 7_d ; medium crossbreds and Roinneys, 7sd to 7d.
