Received 23rd, 9.10 a.m." Over 20,000 persons viewed the i'tiish of the road cycle race Warrmunbool to Melbourne; J. Arnst (New Zealand) winning, off the scratch mark, in 7 hours 43 minutes ; Ske* han second, three minutes later. •Arnst beat the best previous record for the race by an hour. He received a great ovation. The cycle race from Warrnambool to Melbourne has again been won by a New Zealander, J. Arnst, whose performance is all the more remarkable seeing that he started from the scratch mark and covered the distance in an hour less than the best previous time for the race. The diSr tance is 165 miles. Arnst is a. ploughman, employed at Cheviot. His age is 21, his height sft Bin, and he scales 12 stone.
