The final meeting for closing the .nnd in connection with the reception of the Fourth and Fifth Contingents was held in Mr R. Allen's room on Tuesday afternoon, when there were present : 'lhe Mayor (Mr 0. iS. Longuet), presiding. Messrs N. Johnson, E Hammond, J. > v . Goldie, J. Crosby Smith and R. Allen. Applications for assistance from injured persons were dealt with. A statement laid before the Trust and adopted showed the TOTAL I'.KCEIITS, Including subsidy on amounts dispensed by the Charitable Aid Board, interest, etc ' CO 5 S 10 EXI'BXPITI II K. O.itlay by CoinmiUee . . £t'Sl 12. 0 Expencea paid by Trust . 6 10 2 Companionate allowance, to vark-in injured persons, medical attendance, funeral expenses, etc. . . 477 0 5-.-01. 8 10 This brought the business for which the Trust had been formed to an end, and before dispersing a vote of thauks was passed to tho Mayor. The books and papers were handed to the Town Clerk.
