♦ (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, Feb. 4. Fat Cattle— l7s head of average quality yarded. The demand was irregular, but prices were unchanged, except for cow beef, which was Blight.lv easier. Steer-, £6 17s Gdto£ll 12s 6d; heiferc, £5 17s 6d to £8 ss; oows, £5 10s to £9 2s 6d. Good beef, 2i? to 26. per 1001 b; cow beef, 225. Fat Sheep — Ihe entry was good in numbeis and quality, but there was a very slow sale, several exporters not being buyers. Sheep of good quality brought previous week s values, but old owes were ducidedly lower. Freezing wethers, 16a to 193 9 J '; maiden ewes, 15s to 17s 9d ; prime heavy ewes, 16s to 19s; ordinary to good, 12s Gd to 15s; aged from 10s 3d. Fat lambs— 24so penned to a very sluggish demand, but prices wore not quotably lower, except for secondary aud graziers' lots. Freezers, 12s 6d to 14s 8d; butchers' and graziers' descriptions, 10s to 12s. Pigs — A small entry and prioes advanced. Baconers, 45s to 55a; porkers, 303 to 4*.s 6d. stores, 22s 6d to 35s ; small stores, 17s to *2ls; suckers and weaners, 14s to 16s. Per lb porkers realised |5d to 6d, aid good baconers averaged sd.
