' The labour Conference has finally adopted the following as a fighting platform :— Amending legislation in reference to the Taff Vale decision ; free education ; abolition of the Legislative Council ; workmen's corapen sation ; cessation of the sate of Crown Lands ; local government reform ; establishment of a State bank. FREMANTLE, Feb. 3. Plague rats have been found in the vicinity of the plague area. HOBART, Feb. 3.
Destructive fires at Queenstovn have caused much damage to raioiog properties and destroyed four miners' camps. The inmates were compelled to take refuge in tunnels. ,
