Loss ofthe Gairloch

AUCKLAND, Feb. 2
The Court of Enquiry into the wreck of the Gairloch, in giving judgment, stated that .the steamer had no patent log out and the master trusted Ul his experience .in . estimating the speed and committed an error of judgment in hugging the land so closely on a dark night. TiieCourt ordered the certificate of Capt. Austin to-be suspended for three months; he to pay £.10 towards the cost of the enquiry.
