The Age, dealing with the effect of the income tax on tbe investment of foreign capital in Victoria, estimates that during the last seven years ifc has resulted in the withdrawal of nine millions of capital. HOBART, Jan. 30. The Premier has issued a manifesto. With a view to extinguishing the deficit he proposes further reduction in State expenditure, reduction in the number of members, limitation of loans to reproductive works, and amalgamation of public bodies.
