Sale of Township and

Suburban Lands. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report having held a ealo of township and suburban lands in Riversdale and Mandevillo on ac> count of the N-Z. Agricultural Co, in the Drill Hall, Kiversdale, on Wednesday, 28th inst, when they offered 69"i0t8, 18 of which were at Mandeville and 51 at Riversdale. There was good competition for the Mandeville sections, and all the lots bnfc one were Bold, but in Riversdale the number of lots offered was too much for the local demand, added to which the recent lire in Riversdale, which has burnt down a' most half the town, evidently cast a gloom over people's spirits ; consequently there Vaa very little competition, and only four lots found now owners. There hae been, however, a oumbejj^of enquiries since the sale, and as all the passed in lots are now fur sale at the upset prices no doubt a good many lots will change jiands during the next few weeks.
