A statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Consolidated Fund for the December quarter is published in tonight's Gazette. On revouue account the ordinary 'receipts are shown as £1,G59,296, and the territorial revenue as £53,167. The permanent appropriations amounted to £918,-418, including £771,607 to interest and rinking fund, and £51,032 for old ago pensions. ThQ annual appropriations reached .0958,280. Under the Public Works Fund the expenditure on annual' appropriations was £376.814, and the balance at the cud of the quarter was £2,31,421. The Customs revenue collected was £593,030, as agaiust £524,016 during tho December quarter of 1901. Ad valorem duties yielded £201.2(38, and spirits £120,859. Last year £2,285,157 was collected, as against! £2,191,798 in thefc preceding twelve months.
