Bluff Harbour Board

TO THE EDITOU. Sir,— l cordially endorse the suggestion contained in Mr Lmncan Macfarlane's letter appearing in your issue of to-day. It does appear most unfair that the chairman of that most important public body — the Bluff Harbour Board— should perform his arduous mid responsible duties without fee or reward. The lilutl" Harbour Board has been a most successful public institution. Let, then, its able aud indefatigable chairman, as somo recognition of his valuable services, be voted a fair sum in the shape of an honorarium. — I am, &c, Justice. 15th Deo.
