Parliament will be prorogued on Saturday. Officers of a German training ship visiting Damascus laid a wreath sent by the Kaiser on the Mohammedan conquerer Saladin's tomb. Cases of arsenic poisoning froui golden syrup which have occurred at Birmingham have been attributed to adulteration by glucose containing ■arsenic. The Manchester beer poisoning cases have been attributed to the iudiarubber tubes between the barrels and the beer pumps. The barrels themselves wore free from arsenic.
