The Star compiled 94 runs against their opponent’s 212 on the previous Wednesday, leaving the latter winners by 118 runs. Star score: Wann, b Dalrymple, 6 ; J. Findlay, lbw, b Dalrymple, 7 ; Turner, c Twemlow, b Dalrymple, 4; Lilliorap, b Dalrymple, 16; W. Black (not out), 34 ; E. B. McKay, b Dalrymple, 15 ; Michie (run out), 0; Taylor, b Kingsland, 0 ; Reid (thrown out), 5 ; Harvey, b Purdue 2 ; extras 5, Dalrymple took 5 wiokets for 39 runs, Kingiland 1 for 16, Purdue 1 for 8.
Tho High School defeated Appleby 2nd by an innings and 9 runs. J. Christ-pohers (28) was the top scorer for the School, whose total was 61. Appleby made 35 and 18, Logan (11). For the school Lindsay took 11 wickets for 9 runs.
The Athletic team defeated Gladstone by 8 wickets aud 3 rune. Athletic, 35 and 54 tor 2 wickets ; 51. Kane 16 and E. Ward 30. both not out; Gladstone, 28 and 58—Sorenson 22.
