Some have gone and left behind them a good name, and have a warm corner in the hearts of those remaining. Foremost among those is MR WILLIAM TODD, He was a good citizen, kind and generous hearted. Numerous are the kindly deeds he scattered along life’s pathway, and made it the easier for many weary feet to travel, of all his good deeds, none were of such lasting benefit to the community as when he sat down and penned the following letter Mr E. B. JONES, Chemist, Dee street. DEAR SIR,—Rb your HONEY PECTORAL: It'givesme great pleasure to testify to tho efficacy of this valuable remedy in all cases of Coughs, Colds, or Chest Disorders. I have used it personally for many years with the best results, and in my opinion no home should be without a supply. Faithfully Yours, WILLIAM TODD, Ivin Auctioneer.

Extract from Southland Times, 18th June, 1896:— "Mr McKenzie, the Manufacturer of SAFE CLOTH CLEANER, has introduced his preparation to our notice and given us a sample of its extraordinary cleansing power. The general public are not aware probably that on all Printing Machines a Blanket has to be used, a make up of a special kind, heavy and thick, felted together like a bull’s hide; it gets saturated and battened with ink, and of all compounds printers’ ink is one of the most difficult to remove. Caustic Potash and water will clean type, but the blanket is a more difficult job. Mr McKenzie used a small quantity of his “ SAFE CLOTH CLEANER ” diluted with boiling water, on one of our blankets, and our machinist reports that even without boiling, the Fluid brought out the ink, and left the blanket clean, soft, and fit for further use, without destroying the texture or fabric in anyway.” A small quantity of the Fluid—about an ounce—in the hot water copper will greatly help Housewives, as it is useful for all domestic purposes as a cleanser and reviver. Ounce (eighth part of Is 3d bottle) in hot water copper thoroughly washes Blankets, Household Linen, etc.: saves half soap, half time, and half labour; no soda or other cleansing substances required. Few drops only in boiling water cleans greasy, spotted, or stained apparel or hats. FROM THE CHURCH. Mr-McKenzie’s “Safe Cioth Cleaner” has been used in our house for some years, and has been found highly efficacious in removing grease, staints, etc. I can highly recommend it. GEO. LINDSAY. St. Paul’s Manse, Invercargill. Similar testimonials: Archdeacon Govett, Taranaki; Very Revd. J. McNamara, Catholic Presbytery, Blenheim; Revd. Mr Paterson, Presbyterian Manse, Napier, etc., etc FROM THE TRADE. Invercargill, 16th June, 1896. I have tried McKenzie’s “ Safe Cloth Cleaner’’and can certify to its qualities as such. I may say it is superior to any cloth cleaner I have yet used. ADAM THOMPSON, Cutter, T. and B. Invercargill, 15th June, 1896. We have tried your “ Safe Cloth Cleaner ’’ and can testify to its wonderful effect in quickly removing all appearance of grease from a very much soiled garment. A few drops were sufficient to clean and revive the cloth.—Price & Bullieid, John D. McGruer, W. Lewis, W. Scott Bedford, Tapper, and Menzies, ■ Invercargill 16th June, "1896.
