It is feared here that the wreckage found at Preservation Inlet is that of the barque Firth of Forth, which sailed from New York for Dunedin on August 11th.—[As our own correspondent stated that the wreckage was first seen about two months ago, or only about 00 days after the Firth of Forth left New York, it is not probable that it came from her. Besides, the Firth of Forth is an iron ship, Clyde built, and would not have a wooden capstan. She is a barque of 850 tons, owned, with other “Firths,” by a syndicate ef Glasgow riverside men, one of whom made his first “rise” by ferrying diggers across the Molyneux in a punt in the early days of the Otago goldfields. The Firth of Forth is a smart sailer, ’ and she "is now 122 days out. It is, however, possible that the wreckage may have come from two ships]. [By Cable.] Sydney, Dec. 10. Arrived, yesterday—S.S. Manapouri, from Auckland. Arrived—S.S. Talune, from Wellington.
