Canterbury A. and P. Show

(By Telegraph.) Christchurch, Nov. 9. There was a large attendance at the A. and P. Association’s show to-day, though the number, fell a good deal short of last year’s total. The light horse section was deprived of a great deal of interest through lack of competition in blood stock, heavy weight hunters and carriage horses, and iu the entries for a number of special prizes. The hackney stallions and dog cart horses were good and the ponies were really the feature of the show. The jumping was only fair ; Encore won the high jump for the third year in succession. Chainshot was first in thoroughbred stallions.
