(Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, Nov. 6. Thomas Nailor, labourer, South Dunedin, died suddenly at Middlemarch this morning on his way to a situation. Ata meeting to.night it was decided to petition Parliament on the matter of the land tax. It was stated that LBB7 had to be paid in the land tax for property from which the revenue was L5OOO, or equal to 3s in the pound. The Moa Creek School Committee declined to receive Miss White, a teacher sent by the Education Board, on the ground that she is a Roman Catholic and the school has closed. The building, itappears, does not belong to the Education Board.
