LONDON, Mar. 29. The Bank of Australasia declared a dividend at the rate of 12£ per cent, and carried forward L 15.000. The Times remarks that the flotation of the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works loan locally indicates that things are not so bad in Victoria as hostile critics of the colony allege. Two thousand tons of German coal have arrived at the South Metropolitan Gas Company's works, London.
