* TO THE EDITOB. gißj Will you'allow me to call attention to a defect in the "foot-bridge over the Puni Creek where it crosses Ness street. The hand-rails are in part rotten, and incapable of bearing tbe pressure of one or two people who might be leaning upon them and contemplating tbeßtreambelow. I say "one or two " advisedly, for notwithstanding the hard times, tbere are (.till a few couples wandering about under a strong suspicion of courtship, and I should not like their " dream of bliss "to be interrupted by a drop into cold water. I trust tbat this hint may be enough for the servants of the Corporation, and I am, fto., Viatob. 23rd January.
