Wool Packing.
«. . TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Some farmers pack their wool falsely. Thus an outside of fine wool may have a core of course wool. How would it do if it were made binding on all to use their sheep brand on n certain part of the bale ? : thus " XR in a triangle, with S," to denote that the brand was registered in the Southland district. The grower could still use his usual brand, s.iy, " Mount Pisgah. :I As it is now, the rogue cau change his brand year after year with the consequence that honest men have to smart for his knavery, as the buyer has to treat all small men alike. — I am, &c, K.
