, «. Mitchell, White and Co. report having held their regular stock eale at the Tnvercargill aale yards on Tuesday, 2nd inst. There was a very full supply of fat cattle forward, including several pens of extra heavy weigh 1 a and good quality, f orj which there was keen competition, up to close on LlO a head. There was also a full snpply of fat eh r ep forward, the ntos^ part being ewes of good quality. Wethers fit for freezing wee also in demand, and sold at up to 14s 6d for best, and light weights as low as 11s 8d each. Pigs were in great force, fully 100 being forward including come small weaners, which were h*rd to place unless at low prices. Fairly well grown lots and fat brought full values. We Bold 75 in one lot at 203 each, and a number of bacon p ; gs at up to close on 60a. Our entries in sheep, including stores, lambs.and" fat were 1039. ?at and store cattle, 68 ; pig 1 , 103 : and with the exception of a pen of forward Btore bullockß, and a few dry cows, all onr lota changed hands. Store Sheep — m*sl wethers at 5s 8d ; lambs ; I 87 at 9b, 147 at 5s 8d each. Horse market— On Saturday we had again a full yard and fair inquiry. Young active plough horses are most ia demand and at prices ranging from about L 8 to Ll6 may be quoted as the prices buyers ate dispoeed to invest. A few very choice Borts reich LlB to L2O but seldom. Hacks are in fair demand if well grows, active, Bound, and young, and range from L sto Lls a head ; feeble.old stagers from 15s upwards. Dairy cow'e are selling we 1 on Saturdays if newly calved and quiet. During the week we have placed a number at L 4 to L 6 each, but for town use they must be perfectly quiet and should be taugbt to lead with a rope. We would direct attention to our sale of dairy cows and implements at Mr Oughton's faria on Tuesday, 9ih inst, and Btock at Otaotau on 10th inst aB now advertised. -
